• Description ;; Amaterasu is a Mangekyō Sharingan dōjutsu,For the Right Eye, the highest level of Fire Release. Said to represent the "Material World and Light" (物質界と光, Busshitsukai to Hikari), Amaterasu is the antipode to Tsukuyomi.

Amaterasu produces black flames at the focal point of the user's vision. In most situations, this makes Amaterasu impossible to avoid. However, if the target can move fast enough to prevent being focused on, Amaterasu will miss them when it's cast. Once created, it can continue burning for seven days and seven nights. The flames cannot be extinguished with water or any other normal methods. Said to be "the fires from hell" and to burn as hot as the sun itself, Amaterasu burns basically any material — other flames included — until nothing but ash remains.

Amaterasu does not ordinarily require hand seals to be performed, though Sasuke Uchiha once used the Tiger hand seal, which is common for fire techniques. However the main way one will know is the user will close their Right eye and pool chakra into it for a post. This technique can also be sealed within the Sharingan of another person with the proper jutsu. Beyond mere offence, Amaterasu's flames can be used as a deterrent, with users surrounding themselves in its flames to discourage physical attacks, when used with the proper jutsu.

Use of this technique puts a great deal of strain on the user, usually causing their eyes to bleed. For all its lethal potential, Amaterasu burns fairly slowly, allowing targets to remove burning clothes before their body is caught ablaze or, if it's too late for that, remove the burning body part(s) before it spreads. Other defensive options are pushing the flames away with something like Shinra Tensei, absorbing them like the Preta path's Absorbing ability, certain space–time ninjutsu like Kamui, or being the jinchūriki of the Ten-Tails. While impractical as a defence, Amaterasu can also be sealed like with the Fire Sealing Method.

The Rate at which Amaterasu Burns is half a limb per post for rate of spreading, as Raikage A had enough time to cut off his arm from the elbow down, but the rate at which it deals damage is once it hits it deals third degree burns, and by the third post it burns to ash. A chakra infused defense of 200+ gets +1 post.

1. Let's bump up the range significantly, It's SS and attacks at the focal point of vision, I believe in Itachi and Sasuke's battle, the flames went out for some distance beyond where he was focusing as well.
2. Cut out the part of where the user can control the flames, for the base tech, I'm going to try and limit it purely to producing the flames, then once Blaze release is created that'll cover flame manipulation.
3. There are a few more control iterations/mentions in latter description, let's cut that out/edit it as well
4. You mention no hand seals, but let's make a 1-2 post prep where the user needs to actively pool chakra into the eye and the eye must be closed during that time.
5. I don't know how I feel about the chakra infused materials resisting amateratsu, especially not in an indefinite sense. A chakra check won't work since Ama is SS ranked and power is beyond comparison. So for the time, let's cut that out as well, and we can talk in PM about a substitution/replacement mechanic instead?
6. I'd also like to put a sort of rough time table for how quickly it burns through things. So, you mention clothing and all, perhaps 1 post for Ama to completely burn through that, and linearly build from there? Also, include that anything that comes in contact will also begin to burn (for those that might be inclined to stick their hands in it or such)

A lesser mechanic, Jiraiya was able to seal the flames away, so let's mention something that Katon/Elemental sealing jutsu can seal away the flames (potentially in some proportion?) and remove the other defense mechanics for Ama (the space time/pushing away) or expand upon them to make it more substantial than just 'pushing' them away

6. When I meant timetable I didn't mean so much as burning through full limbs and all, but more like after 1 post, third degree burns, 2 posts 4th degree, 3 posts Ash/burned completely or something along those lines.
