• Appearance: Fable is an androgynous young man fresh out of the academy, puberty having never quite affected him as it did others. Bearing long and willowy limbs, he has a long gait that makes him seem to crossed distances almost easily despite his below average height. Possessing somewhat pale skin, his brown hair is often unkempt with a slight sweep towards the side to keep it out of his eyes. While he has no 'usual clothing', bearing a large wardrobe from which he chooses depending on the occasion, he has a tendency to wear a necklace of blue prayer beads with whichever outfit he chooses.

• Personality: A somewhat impassive and otherwise unassuming fellow, many would assume that Fable is either incredibly ill suited or unnervingly right for the position of a ninja. Preferring to be reactionary rather than the one who starts events, he often will watch others to see their reactions before responding, causing others to label him as cautious or timid.

In actuality, Fable possesses a vibrant emotional spectrum. However, due to the nature of his bloodlines, communicating with others gives him a medium into others thoughts that make him know too much when interacting, causing him to seem overbearing or almost mind-reading. To avoid these discomforts and misunderstandings, he instead defaults to the previous actions.

• History:

Born to a family of writers in Sukaigakure no Sato, Fables life is surprisingly average, compared to most ninja.

Having been named after 'Fable', a foreign world for a type of story, one might expect him to be a loud and obnoxious boy with a taste for adventurer and a grand destiny ahead of him. Instead, life found him to be a cautioned young boy with little appetite for engaging others up and personal, instead watching from afar.

While this was a known problem for most children in the Monogatari family, as the understanding of others stories could become a blessing as much as a curse, Fable would never fully learn how to interact with others. Instead he fell deeper in love with the 'stories' themselves, preferring to watch things unfold before him rather than do anything else. He began to use his clan techniques to craft Artifacts, something which is usually done after a member becomes a published author.

His parents, seeing this odd talent, enrolled him within the ninja academy. His strength, his talents, his ideas, all flourished under the attention of instructors. His social acumen did not. Now a graduated genin, it is the hope of all those around him that he will learn that it is not just the stories that are worth listening to, but the sources of them itself as he forges his own path through a seemingly average life.
