• Description ;; The Dead Demon Consuming Seal is a seal developed by the Uzumaki clan to call upon the power of the Shinigami. After the hand seals are performed (ten handsigns in total), the user's soul is partly separated from their body and suspended behind them. Behind their soul appears the Shinigami, which restrains their soul with its hair. Only the summoner is able to see the Shinigami at this point. Eventually, the Shinigami wraps its left arm with prayer beads and chants unintelligibly until a cursed seal appears on its arm after the user makes one final seal by clapping their hands together (this will finish one post after the user has cast the technique). The Shinigami then drives its arm into the summoner's soul, thus allowing the summoner to call upon the Shinigami to seal a target. The user will have 15 posts or until the thread ends (whichever comes first) from when the Shinigami is first summoned to seal any and all targets before the Grim Reaper will claim the users soul out of impatience.
Once the user is ready, they can call out to the shinigami who will then extend it's arm out to the target (still only visible to the user at this point) and aim to grab hold of the targets soul as well. Once the target's soul is grasped, the summoner can remove the target's soul and seal it into their own body, while the soul is grasped though or the user is trying to grasp their soul (Shinigami's arm is extended through) they will be unable to cast jutsu. This technique can be used in conjunction with the Shadow Clone technique (must be cast before calling the Shinigami) to seal away more persons, but it does come at a cost. When using shadow clones, the user loses the ability to cast the jutsu at a range and must be within and maintain less than 1 meters range in order to seal their targets. Also when using shadow clones, the battle now becomes a strength vs strength match if the opponent chooses to resist the sealing.
This struggle leads to an interesting point on partial sealing, where a user who is able to pull out part of their soul but not the entirety of it can seal away a section of it instead of the entire thing. The soul being pulled from the arms first, then torso and rest of body, if a user seals them at their arms, the Shinigami will cut off that portion of their soul and seal it within the user in their place. The limb(s) removed from the target will begin to rot away and cause an incredible amount of pain to them, only to be avoided by switching bodies or removing the afflicted areas.
After the sealing is performed, a mark appears on the summoner's stomach that is similar in appearance to the Eight Trigrams Sealing Style. For a few moments (maximum of one post) afterwards the summoner can continue moving and speaking, allowing them to finish any lingering business they may have. Shortly afterwards the Shinigami will consume their soul and the soul of their target(s), ending their life. The souls of those trapped within the Shinigami's stomach cannot enter the Pure Land and are destined to fight with their victims for all eternity.
